A leading commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company in Houston, Texas, is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Project Manager to join their growing team. This role involves overseeing multimillion-dollar projects, ensuring timely, efficient, and safe completion. From managing resources and schedules to building strong client relationships, the candidate will be pivotal in delivering high-quality results. Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000 / year DOE
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate personnel to meet project labor needs
- Develop and manage weekly team meetings, project schedules, and variance reports
- Lead project initiatives ensuring compliance with safety and administrative standards
- Manage resources including financials, procurement, and project documentation
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts while monitoring construction progress
- Address issues, risks, and change requests to ensure project success
- Supervise and mentor assistant project managers and superintendents
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Pursue and manage additional work through change orders
- Travel as required based on project needs
Project Manager Requirements:
- 3 5 years of experience managing $2 5 million projects ideally in construction or HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of construction design, finance, and management
- Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, and Procore
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Experience with estimating change orders and prevailing wage compliance
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities
