HR Generalist
Job Description
Onsite
A dependable property management company is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join their team onsite in Woodland Hills, CA. In this role, you will lead essential HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, managing employee relations, overseeing performance reviews, updating HR policies, and coordinating workers' compensation claims. You will also assist employees with general benefits questions and collaborate closely with the PEO to ensure compliance with California labor laws. The ideal candidate is driven, organized, and excited to shape and grow an HR program within a stable and growing company.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, including sourcing and hiring for roles
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process
- Collaborate with managers on write-ups, performance improvement plans, and employee relations to maintain consistency and professionalism
- Oversee and formalize the employee review process in partnership with regional managers
- Review and update job descriptions, the employee handbook, and other HR policies in collaboration with the PEO
- Monitor and manage workers compensation claims through the PEO, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up
- Address general employee questions regarding benefits administered by the PEO
- Use systems such as Yardi, Microsoft 365, and Venture for HR-related tasks
HR Generalist Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree is required
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience
- Experience in property management is preferred, but not required
- Must have a car for occasional travel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, but not required
