Temp-to-Hire;15 hours per week

A leading manufacturer of assembly tools in Portland, OR is searching for a Fractional CFO to help restructure accounting practices and optimize financial operations on a part-time basis! This position is onsite for approximately 15 hours per week (3 days per week, 5 hours per day) and has a strong emphasis on cost accounting, cash flow forecasting, new lending negotiations, deep budgeting analysis and getting new processes and systems to the finish line and fully implemented. The ideal candidate is a skilled and flexible financial strategist who thrives in hands-on situations, ready to roll up their sleeves and have a direct impact on operations. The position has the potential to convert to full-time, depending upon the effectiveness of the role and evaluation of future needs. Salary Range: $75 - $120 / hour DOE

Fractional CFO Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a CFO role within the manufacturing industry, demonstrating financial management and strategic leadership
  • Strong skills in financial forecasting, budget management, and cost accounting with a proven track record of enhancing financial operations
  • Experienced in negotiating with financial institutions and understanding various lending structures
  • Capable of managing and integrating key business operations from a financial perspective to align with broader business objectives

Fractional CFO Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine cash flow forecasts, manage the overall budgeting process, and restructure financial strategies to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability
  • Lead negotiations with banks to secure more conventional loan structures and manage relationships to support organizational financial goals
  • Implement robust cost accounting practices to correct deficiencies and oversee the management of day-to-day financial operations for efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with department heads post-conversion to integrate financial management with other key operational areas, providing leadership and strategic guidance
  • Work with the CEO and senior management to advance strategic initiatives and drive organizational changes, supporting the company s long-term goals
