Fire Protection Project Manager
Job Description
A fire protection services company in Santa Fe Springs, CA is searching for a Fire Protection Project Manager to join their team! This role is a blend of both project management and sales/estimating functions where you will estimate projects, manage sales efforts, and oversee the delivery of fire protection systems for clients. They are looking for candidates with a strong background in fire protection sprinkler systems and strong project management skills. You ll have a lot of autonomy in your role while enjoying a relaxed and casual work atmosphere at a company that values and rewards hard work!
Salary Range: $90, 000 - $100, 000 / year DOE
Fire Protection Project Manager Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler systems
- Proven project management skills with a preference for steel piping over plastic piping
- Familiarity with estimating projects and delivering successful results
- Strong business development mindset with a customer-focused approach
- Thick-skinned, adaptable to unique personalities and a direct communication style
- Ability to follow direction, take feedback constructively, and deliver consistent results
- Prior experience with in-house software systems is preferred
- Combination of project management, sales, and design experience is a plus
Fire Protection Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Estimate and sell fire protection sprinkler system projects to new and returning clients
- Manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget
- Conduct job walks and site visits as needed to assess project requirements and client needs
- Oversee business development efforts and foster strong relationships with clients
- Monitor project schedules, costs, and resources to ensure optimal performance
- Work with commercial and industrial clients on diverse projects
- Support a lean, self-financed organization with a casual and productive work environment
