Financial Reporting Senior
Job Description

A thriving hospitality group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior SEC Reporting Accountant to join its team in Houston, TX. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Reporting, this role is essential in preparing quarterly and annual financial filings, maintaining equity transactions, and supporting the company s compliance with SEC reporting standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and possess a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Senior SEC Reporting Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage quarterly and annual financial statements, including 10K and 10Q filings
- Oversee equity transactions, including dividends and stock buybacks, ensuring proper disclosure and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure readiness for upcoming financial deadlines and filings
- Perform assessments for acquisitions, integrating financial data and ensuring proper reporting
- Handle various day-to-day financial reporting tasks in alignment with GAAP principles
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for approximately 70-75 operating entities
- Leverage Excel and financial systems such as Great Plains and Solver/BI360
Senior SEC Reporting Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree (preferably, major in Accounting or Finance)
- CPA or CPA
- Experience in nancial reporting, auditing, or accounting role in a public accounting rm or industry
- Experience in preparation and/or review of nancial statement schedules
- Knowledge of GAAP, with familiarity in complex and technical accounting matters
- Experience with Great Plains, and/or Solver/BI360 is a plus
- Working knowledge of Workiva
- Familiarity with restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit business operations
- Effective business writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced-level skills in MS Office, particularly Excel
