Job Description
A large gaming and lodging company in Buellton, CA is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be required to provide financial planning and data analysis for to help leadership solve business problems within a dedicated business unit. The ideal candidate for this role must have strong critical thinking and math skills, as well as a team player mentality. The position offers a hybrid schedule with two days onsite and three days work from home, providing flexibility for work-life balance.

Pay Range: $71,000 - $88,825 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Promote and implement descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across multiple entities
- Create forecasting models of key business indicators and projections to support upcoming projects
- Act as the primary point of contact within FP&A by communicating with key stakeholders associated with assigned projects and tasks
- Continuously develop technical skills and abilities by completing trainings related to statistical or financial planning methodologies
- Leverage data and analytics across the organization with the goal of proactively identifying new areas of opportunity to improve financial decision making
- Demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills for financial planning while consistently communicating areas of challenge to non-financial stakeholders
- Distribute information on financial analytics in a clear, concise way that is digestible by non-finance parties
- Maintain strong, consistent performance at the operating unit, divisional, and enterprise levels
- Meet with leadership weekly to define goals and milestones, communicate progress, ensure deadlines are met, and monitor project impact post-implementation
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in financial consulting or relevant field – new college graduates are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of financial reporting analytics and relevant tools
- Basic knowledge of capital project valuation methodologies and best practices
- Basic understanding of analytical techniques, including aggregate analysis, correlation analysis, trending analysis, and sizing estimation
- Proficient in MS Office, with adept Excel skills
- Must be able to apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency
- Basic knowledge of capital project valuation methods is preferred
- An interest in the nuance of the hospitality and gaming industry is preferred
