Job Description

A legal services firm that specializes in representing government entities in civil rights cases is seeking a Federal Civil Rights Litigation Attorney to join their team in Orlando, FL!  They are looking for a seasoned attorney with significant experience in federal civil rights litigation, particularly those transitioning from a federal law clerk role. The position is responsible for managing a caseload of 20-25 federal civil rights cases by representing government entities in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and discovery processes. The position offers a hybrid work model, competitive salary, bonus incentives, and growth opportunities, including a partnership track!

Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Handling a caseload of 20-25 federal civil rights cases
  • Representing government entities in various legal proceedings
  • Managing court appearances, depositions, mediations, and discovery
  • Ensuring diligent case management and adherence to deadlines

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in federal civil rights cases
  • Must be barred in Florida with a strong understanding of federal and civil rights law
  • Prior experience as a federal law clerk is highly desirable
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism in all legal matters
