A well-established boutique law firm in the Los Angeles metro area is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join their team! The firm specializes in high-net-worth family law matters, including child custody, spousal support, domestic violence, and prenuptial agreements. The ideal candidate is someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the chance to join a close-knit, loyal team in a low-stress atmosphere!
Salary Range: $80,000 - $150,000 / year DOE
Family Law Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters
- Draft legal documents with attention to accuracy and legal standards
- Conduct thorough legal research to develop and support case strategies effectively
- Represent clients in mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings, ensuring their interests are strongly advocated
- Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns and keeping them informed about case progress
- Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure seamless case handling and optimal client outcomes
- Manage administrative tasks, including deadlines, billing, and calendaring
Family Law Attorney Requirements:
- Active membership in the California Bar, open to newly barred candidates!
- 0-5 years of experience in family law, employment law, personal injury, or insurance defense, preferably in the Los Angeles area, but will consider less experienced candidates with strong experience or clerkships in family law, open to civil litigation with experience in discovery, hearings, and litigation
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with legal timekeeping and calendaring systems, such as Comslex
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under high pressure to handle demanding cases and situations
- A client-focused mindset, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to legal practice
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and strong multi-tasking skills
