Exhibits Project Manager

A leading trade show booth design company headquartered in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Exhibits Project Manager to join their project management team! This role involves managing approximately 8-12 projects per month with a 90-day cycle on average where you will be planning, executing and overseeing every aspect of custom trade show booth projects from A to Z. The position is based onsite in San Diego, with occasional travel within California and Las Vegas, or weekend work during trade shows. They are looking for someone with experience in the trade show industry and a background in project management who is an excellent multi-tasker with exceptional follow-through skills. Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Oversee 8-12 trade show projects per month through their 90-day cycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
• Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, adjusting as needed for project success
• Act as the primary communication link between internal teams and external vendors, managing expectations and updates
• Lead and manage contractors and vendors on-site, ensuring project specifications are met
• Implement quality control processes for consistency in client vision from line drawing to color rendering and final execution
• Utilize Exhibit Force software for detailed project tracking and management
• Coordinate with the Shipping department to ensure all materials, hardware, and project essentials are prepared and available for each project
• Create QC books for projects, document any project changes, and maintain accurate project documentation
• Oversee the packing of projects, ensuring a copy of the setup prints and all necessary materials are included
• Communicate project schedules, updates, and important information to stakeholders
• Meet with project supervisors to review job details and requirements, ensuring readiness for the show
• Handle the purchase of items as needed for each project and ensure the availability of all required furniture, TVs, cleaning supplies, and hardware
• Travel as required to oversee project setups, mainly within California and Las Vegas, ensuring projects meet client and company standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry-related experience
• 2 years of experience in Project Management
• Experience in trade shows, exhibits, events, or related fields (construction, furniture, marketing) is preferred
• PMP certification is a plus
• Bachelor s degree is a plus
• Strong leadership skills
• The ability to multitask and adapt priorities to meet deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of learning new software (Exhibit Force)
• Must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time within California and Las Vegas
