Job Description
A humanitarian nonprofit organization that provides fresh meals to senior citizens in Plantation, FL, is searching for an energetic and creative Executive Director to lead and grow its team! They are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in a non-profit leadership role who can bring fresh ideas and has a genuine passion for making a difference in the community. Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 / year DOE
Executive Director Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of experience in a similar nonprofit leadership role or relevant for-profit experience
- Proven success in fundraising and grant writing, particularly with local, state, and federal grants
- Strong community relations experience, with existing connections in the local area preferred
- Bachelor s degree required; additional qualifications or significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years of leadership experience with a track record of managing and inspiring teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be a persuasive and effective public speaker
- Experience in community relations, particularly with municipalities and local corporations
- Familiarity with nonprofit operations and financial management
- Ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term goals
- Passion for the organization s mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community
Executive Director Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization s strategic vision and mission, ensuring alignment with community needs and organizational goals
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities
- Drive fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor cultivation, to secure diverse revenue streams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local foundations, municipalities, and community stakeholders
- Lead rebranding and growth initiatives, creating a game plan for the organization's future direction
- Represent the organization as the primary spokesperson in the community, fostering connections and partnerships
- Manage and support a dedicated team, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture
- Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing updates and seeking guidance as needed
