Estimator
Job Description
A large and highly reputable commercial and industrial construction company in Whittier, CA is searching for a skilled Estimator to join their team! They are looking for candidates with at least 10 years of estimating industrial/commercial projects to analyze options, create detailed proposals and submit RFPs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one project at a time and be able to read blueprints to understand the full scope of the projects. You’ll be joining a great team of hard-working, disciplined professionals where everyone is easy to get along with. Pay Range: $100,000 - $200,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute estimating tasks for projects such as storage buildings, medical offices, private schools, residential roles in Los Angeles, and renovations of existing buildings
- Analyze project options, create detailed proposals, and submit RFPs to owners
- Work independently on projects, with potential for overlapping assignments
- Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project scopes
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and Word (Intermediate level)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand project scope to ensure accurate and competitive bidding
- Experience with Building Connected
- Experience with Tilt-up software is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and trustworthy team player
