Engineering Project Manager
Job Description
A general civil engineering firm in Roseville, CA is seeking a Engineering Project Manager to lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with local jurisdictions and a proven track record in managing multifamily developments and subdivisions.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 / year DOE
Civil Engineering Project Manager Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft 365
- Experience working on projects in Sacramento County and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of the local jurisdictions and how they differ highly desirable
- Proven leadership and adequate organizational skills
- QSD experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite 100% at their office in Roseville, CA
Civil Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee all engineering operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and directing staff
- Coordinate and distribute workload within the engineering department
- Prepare project proposals and manage project responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain project budgets and productivity
- Develop and implement departmental standards and improvements
- Train and develop junior engineers
- Perform and oversee civil design calculations and assignments
- Ensure timely document delivery and maintain project status
- Coordinate with Surveying Department to obtain required information
- Prepare and review improvement plans, specifications, and supporting documents
- Maintain positive client relationships and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy before submission
- Use Burrell checklist to ensure quality and consistency
- Attend design review meetings and interact with clients
