A successful boutique law firm based in Seattle, WA, is in search of an intrinsically motivated Employment Defense Attorney to join its legal team! The firm specializes in labor and employment law and offers candidates a supportive, mentorship-driven environment with significant growth opportunities. The Employment Defense Attorney will handle a variety of legal matters, manage assigned cases, and prep trials through research and motion practices. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 / year DOE
Employment Defense Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of labor and employment law matters including research, writing, discovery, and litigation support
- Conduct transactional and advisory work such as drafting termination letters and advising on workplace matters
- Manage assigned caseloads ranging from trial preparation to motion practice with a focus on thorough analysis and creative problem-solving
- Achieve a billable target annually while maintaining a high standard of client service
- Participate in regular feedback sessions to refine skills and advance professionally
- Collaborate closely with clients to develop strategic approaches to complex legal challenges
- Stay updated on changes in labor and employment law to provide accurate and effective counsel
Employment Defense Attorney Requirements:
- Bar admission in Washington State
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong preference for civil litigation or labor/employment law experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (training available)
- Mature, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and provide exceptional service to clients
