An experienced law firm is seeking an Employment Attorney in California with expertise in PAGA litigation. In this role, you will handle a range of tasks, from discovery to trial preparation, defending clients under the Private Attorneys General Act. Ideal candidates will be critical thinkers who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are looking to grow professionally within a reputable firm.
Salary Range: $235,000 - $300,000 / year DOE
Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle employment defense cases, focusing on PAGA litigation
- Independently manage cases from discovery through trial, including client consultations and depositions
- Review and analyze case files, ensuring compliance with firm standards and legal guidelines
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients regarding PAGA matters
- Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Employment Attorney Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in employment defense, with a strong focus on PAGA claims
- Expertise in defending PAGA claims and understanding the nuances of employment law
- Member of the California Bar
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
