A mid-sized legal services firm with offices across California is looking to add an Employment Attorney to the team! The Employment Attorney will manage a caseload of 15-25 employment defense cases, handling all aspects from start to finish. Responsibilities include attending hearings, depositions, client meetings, and preparing and reviewing legal documents. This is a fully REMOTE opportunity for any attorneys seasoned in this practice and looking for professional growth within a supportive and well-respected environment.
Salary Range: $190,000 - $225,000 / year DOE
Employment Attorney Requirements:
- 15 years of employment law experience
- Must have school district defense experience
- Barred in California
- Proficiency in case management and billing systems
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Great time-management skills; able to work independently and handle cases from start to finish
- Proficiency in case management and billing systems
- Driven, critical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
- Must be team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15-25 employment defense cases independently
- Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings
- Prepare and review electronic legal documents and reports
- Utilize case management systems to streamline processes
- Maintain high standards of quality control
- Collaborate with 2 legal assistants and support staff for scheduling and general administration assistance
- Stay updated on Workers Compensation laws and regulations
- Meet billable hour requirements and exceed performance targets
