An esteemed law firm is seeking an Employment Attorney in California with a strong background in school district defense. In this role, you ll manage a caseload of 15-25 files, conduct hearings and depositions, and provide strategic defense for public education institutions. Salary Range: $230,000 - $275,000 / year DOE
Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
- Defend school districts in employment matters, focusing on trial preparation and litigation
- Independently manage cases, including depositions, hearings, and client meetings
- Review and organize case files, ensuring thorough compliance with legal standards
- Provide counsel to clients on school district-specific employment law issues
- Collaborate with legal assistants to ensure accurate documentation and case management
Employment Attorney Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience, with a significant focus on school district defense
- Must be located in CA
- Strong trial experience defending school districts in employment matters
- Must be a member of the California Bar
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be ok with being 90% remote
