Job Description
A premier legal firm specializing in personal injury and employment law is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Employment Attorney to join their team! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in Employment Law, with a strong background in trial and arbitration, legal research, and analysis. The role is fully onsite and provides a very lucrative earnings potential through a competitive base salary and uncapped commission! The firm also offers a laid-back, friendly work atmosphere and other perks!
Pay Range: $125, 000 - $175, 000 DOE + commission
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of 30-40 employment law cases, ensuring effective management and progression from A-Z
- Lead preparation and strategy for trials and court appearances
- Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making
- Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Engage effectively in negotiations with opposing counsel to advance case objectives and client interests
- Contribute to the firm s marketing initiatives
- Participate in social media activities, displaying comfort and creativity with digital engagement
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Employment Law experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Proficiency in trial and arbitration with a solid understanding of legal research methodologies and legal writing
- Familiarity with California Civil Procedure
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery
- Legal writing experience
- Experience with Filevine case management software is preferred
