Job Description

A thriving legal firm is seeking an Employment Attorney to join their Irvine, CA, office. This role is ideal for attorneys with 3 7 years of litigation experience who are eager to handle a diverse caseload that includes general civil litigation, employment defense, real estate litigation, and trust and estate matters. As a member of their cohesive and collaborative team, you will work alongside partners, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service while managing cases from discovery through trial preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and committed to growing their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 / year DOE
Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10 larger cases in areas such as general civil litigation, employment defense, and real estate
- Conduct discovery, prepare for depositions, and attend court appearances
- Participate in trial preparation and act as second chair during trials when necessary
- Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure case deadlines and objectives are met
- Travel within Los Angeles and Orange Counties as needed for casework
Employment Attorney Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership
- 3 7 years of litigation experience, including deposition experience
- General civil litigation experience required; employment defense litigation experience is highly preferred
- Willingness to travel locally for case needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A proven ability to manage a full caseload efficiently
- Second-chair trial experience is preferred
- Interest in building a long-term career with the potential for partnership
- Reliable, professional, and collaborative team player
