Drywall Senior Estimator
Job Description
A leading commercial subcontractor in Rancho Dominguez, CA is searching for an experienced Drywall Senior Estimator to join their team! They are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 7 years of experience as an estimator, with time spent in a senior role to be responsible for managing the estimation process for various construction projects in the drywall, metal framing, and finishing side of the construction industry. Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed and accurate cost estimations for commercial construction projects with a focus on metal stud framing, drywall installation, and finishing
- Efficiently oversee the estimation process across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to project deadlines
- Utilize a range of software tools such as Plex, Word, Excel, Outlook, On-Screen Take-Off/Quick Bid, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam for comprehensive estimation and effective project management
- Employ CAD software knowledge to augment and refine the estimation process
- Ensure the thorough and prompt completion of project take-offs and bid preparations, maintaining high standards of precision and reliability
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry
- Expertise in drywall and drywall systems, with a proven track record of pricing these systems effectively
- Experience of at least 5-10 years with On-Screen Takeoff software
- At least 5 years of experience in using Quickbid, with the capability to create complex conditions independently
- Knowledge of various construction materials and methods, including plaster, insulation, and acoustical ceilings
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with both internal team members and external stakeholders
- Adept at handling estimation for commercial metal stud, drywall, and plastering projects
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing complex drywall and architectural drawings
