Job Description


Boutique Recruiting has teamed up with a leading provider of public safety policy and training technology in search of a Director of Sales to lead a team of 5-7 sales representatives. This dynamic company sells training content and technology services to state-level public safety organizations such as first responders, correctional facilities, and hospitals, making a big difference in people's lives. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience for a SaaS company, 3 years of sales leadership and a deep understanding of industry specifics such as government sales cycles and applicable contracts for purchasing technology.  This is a rare opportunity to lead a talented team and drive meaningful change in the field of public safety, resulting in a fulfilling and rewarding career! The position is fully remote with 15-25% travel required.
  
Pay Range: $135,000 - $150,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase new business revenue and achieve sales targets
  • Provide ongoing coaching to inspire sales employees to hit sales goals and objectives
  • Conduct research on the competition and monitor market conditions
  • Assist the team with contract negotiations
  • Manage a team of 5-7 sales reps and drive their sales activity to meet individual and team sales goals
  • Train sales reps on cross-selling services and solutions
  • Work closely with executive team to optimize sales models, assess goals, and develop data-driven sales strategies
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to meet with clients and attend sales meetings

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of overall sales experience
  • 2+ years of SaaS sector sales
  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field is preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to manage various projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in highly regulated spaces such as healthcare, finance, DOD sales, or any government-related sales
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • In depth understanding of complex state and local government cycles and applicable contracts used for purchasing technology
  •  Experience in Public Safety Sales Leadership is preferred
  • Ability to work remotely and travel as required
