Job Description


A global manufacturing company that produces innovative water filtration products is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize operations at its manufacturing facility in Wallingford, CT! They are looking for someone with a background in large manufacturing management to streamline and optimize operations in a role that blends shop floor activities, financial analysis, and administrative tasks. If you're skilled in both the hands-on and administrative sides of manufacturing management, this role offers you the chance to combine your strengths by joining an innovative, world-class company at the forefront of water filtration and treatment products!

Pay Range: $120, 000 - $160, 000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 10, managing daily operations to ensure productivity and efficiency
  • Schedule assembly operations to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards
  • Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and resource use
  • Oversee the logistics of shipping and receiving, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Manage purchasing activities, negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms
  • Direct the assembly team, promoting a culture of cooperation and high performance
  • Shift seamlessly between direct operational involvement on the shop floor and overseeing administrative tasks, including email management and financial analysis
  • Take on a comprehensive range of operational tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the facility

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in management, with a focus on both operational leadership and change management
  • Strong background in manufacturing, demonstrating an ability to manage both production processes and financial aspects
  • Proven ability to lead teams on the manufacturing floor, showing hands-on engagement and support
  • Skilled in administrative management, including proficiency with financial reporting and email correspondence
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of inspiring and directing a team both on the shop floor and in an office setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • A balanced approach to problem-solving, comfortable with both detailed, hands-on work and high-level strategic planning
  • Flexibility to shift between operational and financial tasks, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
