Job Description


A Non-Profit organization that specializes in disability rights is seeking a Director of Litigation to join their legal team.  As a Director of Litigation, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the litigation department by supervising attorneys and legal assistants, managing workflow, and bringing in new areas of business. Approximately 25% of the job involves department management and 75% is direct litigation or bringing in litigation support.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and invested team player with excellent communication skills who is interested in Non-Profit law and has an entrepreneurial spirit. 

Pay Range: $165,000 - $210,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full case docket and assign cases to attorneys
  • Supervise attorneys and oversee timekeeping and reports
  • Manage the three areas of revenue for the organization
  • Identify cases that are meaningful and worth bringing on
  • Bring pro bono partners or of counsel to help work on cases
  • Direct litigation or bring in litigation support
  • Ensure cases are being distributed efficiently
  • Manage the work flow of the department
  • Attend non-profit events and conferences
  • Support the growth of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • At least 7-10 years of litigation experience, preferably plaintiff litigation
  • Project management experience
  • Barred in CA
  • Experience in disability rights or related areas
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
