Development and Fundraising Manager
Job Description
All candidates MUST reside in Los Angeles, CA, Houston, TX, or Washington DC Metro Area.
A nonprofit organization centered around the foster care system and adoption is looking to add a Development and Fundraising Manager to their team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with an experienced team for an organization that supports an amazing cause. Preferred candidates have experience working with foster care and be a creative thinker. The Development and Fundraising Manager at will play a crucial role in shaping and executing initiatives to grow the donor pipeline and meet revenue goals through strategy implementation and planning various fundraising events.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 / year DOE
Development and Fundraising Manager Requirements:
- 5-7 years of related experience; 4+ years of experience in the non-profit industry
- Proven success in meeting fundraising goals through diverse funding streams
- Bachelor s Degree
- Collaborative spirit, team player, driven
- Flexible, positive, can-do attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator, CANVA, Constant Contact, Photoshop/VISIO, and Zoom
- Experience with Salesforce is a huge plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; keen eye for detail
- Copy and grant writing, annual giving, and planned giving experience are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and motivate others; flexible, can-do attitude
- This role requires up to 50% of travel for donor meetings, networking, outreach, or fundraising events must be willing to work at the office the other 50% of the time
Development and Fundraising Manager Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Development to shape and execute initiatives to grow the donor pipeline and create an annual development plan
- Develop and implement strategies for individual and corporate donor development that provides a sustainable fundraising base and meets revenue goals
- Manage a portfolio of donors with goals of retention and growth
- Plan and lead targeted events for prospects and donors
- Manage volunteer committees, vendors, and event logistics for all major organizational events
- Develop content for sponsorship packages and manage sponsorship and auction solicitations
- Maintain budgets, revenue reports, tracking, and post-event follow-up
- Manage and mentor the Development Coordinator, interns, volunteers and all other community committee members for all program needs
