Job Description
A leading manufacturing company that produces quality lighting fixtures is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Specialist to join their team in Compton, CA! This important position will play a vital role in the credit approval process, collections, and chargeback investigations for the company. You will be responsible for engaging with prominent big box retailers and brick-and-mortar customers to manage credit checks, resolve disputes, and ensure timely payments.
The company is looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience in credit and collections who have worked with big box retail companies. The company has a business casual work environment, offers generous benefits to their employees, and provides a hybrid work arrangement after an initial training period. Pay Range: $27 - $28/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit checks and oversee the credit approval process
- Possess experience in a large retail or commercial setting, preferably in a well-known chain store or major retail environment
- Manage collections activities, ensuring timely payments from customers
- Investigate and resolve chargebacks and disputes effectively
- Apply cash transactions accurately to customer accounts
- Collaborate with prominent clients and other brick-and-mortar customers
- Contribute to a high-performing collections team by effectively managing workloads
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of credit and collections experience
- Must have experience with large, big box retail customers. Business to business collections experience
- Must possess experience in a large retail or commercial setting, preferably in a well-known chain store or major retail environment
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups are required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Familiarity with Oracle is a plus
