A fire safety company is seeking a Corporate Controller in Memphis, Tennessee. Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 / year DOE
Corporate Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in construction, manufacturing, or recurring-service industries preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, v- and x-lookups)
- CPA certification and prior supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with systems integration and implementation (e.g., Enfor, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Strong leadership and servant-leadership mindset; adept at handling demanding operations managers
Corporate Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end closings, balance sheet reviews, and bank reconciliations
- Manage accounting systems across subsidiaries, ensuring accurate reporting and integration
- Supervise a team of 3 5 accountants, focusing on reviews, reports, and strategic oversight
- Collaborate with the operations team to support business objectives
- Assist in preparing and reviewing board packages with the CFO
- Contribute to M&A integration and future systems upgrades (e.g., transitioning to NetSuite)
- Lead accounting processes for a recurring service-based business
