Job Description
A well-established real estate company in greater Indianapolis, IN is searching for a dynamic Controller to lead their finance department. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for shaping the future operations of the finance department. The company is looking for candidates with strong leadership skills, management experience and a background in residential accounting. Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and streamline department structure
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Prepare monthly financial packages, journal entries, and financial reports
- Oversee year-end closeout processes and engage with auditors during audits
- Demonstrate expertise in specific residential accounting practices
- Drive efficient processes and decision-making to maximize company profitability
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including 5+ years in a management capacity
- Strong background in residential accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with Yardi software
- CPA certification is preferred
