Job Description

A strategic and experienced Controller is needed in Fremont, California, to oversee and enhance the financial operations of a growing organization in the technology and telecommunications industry. This role involves leading financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting while managing a transition from QuickBooks to a more robust ERP system. Key tasks include providing actionable financial insights to guide leadership decisions, maintaining compliance, and executing full-cycle accounting processes such as FP&A and cost accounting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader with a proven ability to collaborate across departments, deliver innovative solutions, and act as a trusted strategic partner to the executive team.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000/ year DOE
Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting to support operational and strategic goals
- Lead and manage the transition from QuickBooks to BusinessCentral, ensuring a smooth ERP implementation process
- Conduct full-cycle accounting, including budgeting, inventory management, FP&A, and operational support
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance financial controls
- Collaborate closely with leadership to provide actionable insights, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support growth initiatives
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performing and efficient team
Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in FP&A and cost accounting
- Strong experience with ERP systems and managing system transitions
- Strategic mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- CPA designation preferred
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
