Job Description


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead the accounting department and drive the financial growth strategy of their automotive manufacturing company located in Corona, CA. As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing a majority of GAAP duties, including AP, AR, payroll, balancing the GL, reconciliations, processing invoices, and month-end close. You will work closely with the VP to implement and adjust accounting processes and procedures to ensure we meet our financial goals. 

Pay Range:$140,000-$180,000 DOE

Responsibilities: 
  • Manage day-to-day high-level accounting duties, including payroll, AP/AR, cash flow, budgeting, closing the books, preparing the general ledger, and financial reports
  • Manage direct reports and potentially hire additional accountants
  • Cost accounting for inventory purposes
  • Communicate with auditors to resolve issues on a quarterly basis
  • Cash management
  • Clean up mis-organization of accounting throughout the past three years, and assist in adjusting accounting processes and procedures
  • Switching to a new ERP system soon,  assist with implementation and provide feedback/recommendations on a rollout
  • Order checks from the bank and process them into the printer, and enter them in QuickBooks
  • Process invoices weekly, soon it will be daily as production ramps back up 
  • Close monthly books in the 1st week of the following month 

Requirements: 
  • 5-10+ years of experience in higher-level accounting with leadership capabilities 
  • Automotive/performance racing industry experience is preferred not required 
  • Strong understanding of structural accounting 
  • Ability to work on-site and be available to work with the team hands-on 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
