A demolition and recycle company in Atlanta, GA is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of a dynamic portfolio that includes demolition, transportation, and environmental services, along with six scrap metal recycling yards. This role is key to the organization s financial infrastructure as it continues to scale. Pay Range: $120, 000 - $180, 000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage financial operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and payroll administration
  • Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable teams, ensuring efficient billing, cash application, and collections, as well as vendor payments
  • Coordinate with independent auditors for timely completion of audits
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to support business planning and ensure liquidity
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and oversee the preparation of all tax returns
  • Play a pivotal role in M&A activities and the integration of acquired entities

Requirements:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA is required
  • 5 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management
  • Must have experience managing the financials of multi-entity organizations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Experience with Dynamics is preferred
  • Experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller is preferred
  • Experience in public accounting and/or the demolition industry is preferred
  • Experience with M&A activity and integrating target companies is a plus
  • Project-level accounting experience, particularly in a multi-entity and multi-state environment is a plus
  • Experience with enterprise level information systems is a plus
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-entity financials and compliance with institutional debt agreements is a plus
