An accredited biotechnology company is seeking a Contract Commercial Attorney for a long-term contract position to support its Sales team in reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing service agreements for biotech clients. This role involves collaborating with the Sales team, reviewing contract modifications, and ensuring agreements align with company standards. The ideal candidate is a confident, detail-oriented, and adaptable legal professional with strong contract skills and the ability to manage client interactions efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate service agreements for the U.S. subsidiary
- Support the Sales team by advising on contract terms and modifications
- Work directly with clients and their attorneys on contract revisions as needed
- Ensure contracts align with company policies while addressing client concerns
- Help streamline the contract review process to improve efficiency
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the Vice President, Legal Affairs, and General Counsel
- Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards in contract negotiations
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial contract review
- Experience in-house or at a law firm
- Licensed attorney in good standing (any U.S. state)
- Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments
- Experience in the biotech industry is preferred but not required
