Construction Project Accountant
Job Description
A renowned global construction company in Phoenix, AZ is searching for a Construction Project Accountant! If you’ve been looking for the chance to work on large-scale, high-tech construction projects, this is the job you’ve been waiting for. They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of accounting experience in a high-volume construction industry, with a solid understanding of GAAP and time spent working with Procore. The job comes with a great benefits program that includes fitness reimbursement and it has a clear path progression from senior project accountant to director and other corporate director levels.
Pay Range: $70,000 - 80,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial operations for significant construction projects, focusing on accurate billing and efficient payment processes
- Oversee financial transactions, ensuring alignment with project costs and subcontractor agreements
- Conduct comprehensive financial reporting and analysis for multiple projects
- Participate in project planning and execution, providing crucial financial insights and support
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement financial strategies effectively
- Utilize specialized construction and accounting software for financial tracking and reporting
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards within the construction industry
- Facilitate key financial aspects of project management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry, preferably in high-volume environments
- Proficiency in construction accounting software such as Procore, GD Edwards, and workflow management systems like On Base
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in the field
- Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and complex tasks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial team members
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Capacity to adapt to changing project demands and work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Committed to upholding high standards of work and capable of delivering constructive feedback within a supportive framework
