Construction Project Accountant
Job Description
A leading construction company in Jefferson, NC is seeking a Construction Project Accountant! They are looking for someone with a background in construction accounting to analyze reports, monitor project budgets and ensuring the overall financial integrity of construction projects. Pay Range: $70, 000 - $80, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial reports monthly and quarterly, aligning with project goals.
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to collect necessary financial data, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Develop and enforce cost control measures and budgeting practices for project financial success
- Regularly adjust and update project financials to uphold budget integrity
- Obtain quarterly reports from project managers, making sure information is structured correctly
- Preserve the financial integrity of all projects, handling both complex and straightforward initiatives diligently
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of construction accounting experience, preferably with exposure to both general contractor and subcontractor roles
- A minimum of 5 years in accounting, managing finances for large-scale construction projects
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Bachelor s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and financial data analysis
- Demonstrates a friendly, and approachable demeanor, contributing positively to a supportive culture
- Capable of working independently, showing initiative in task management
