Job Description
A general contractor that specializes in high-end commercial renovation projects in Beverly Hills, CA is searching for a Construction Estimator to play a key role in the growth of their office! This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects that include converting and upgrading high-rises, retail spaces, hotels, and institutional buildings across the San Francisco and Los Angeles markets. They are looking for high-performing candidates with a strong work ethic, 10-15 years of experience and excellent communication skills. If you are passionate about construction, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and are eager to work on high-profile projects, this is an incredible opportunity for you!
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 / year DOE
Construction Estimator Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the Los Angeles market
- In-depth knowledge of the subcontractor community and local construction practices
- Proven ability to handle multiple roles, including client interaction and business development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in client meetings and team collaboration
- Experience in high-end commercial renovations, particularly in upgrading high-rises, retail spaces, hotels, and institutional buildings
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high-performance, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in using Precision Estimating, JOIN, and Revit for estimating and 3D modeling
- Ability to work onsite with flexibility for occasional remote work if necessary
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to engage in business development and negotiations
- Familiarity with working on a range of project sizes, from small to large-scale renovations
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, each at different stages of development
Construction Estimator Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage estimating tasks for high-end commercial renovation projects
- Engage in business development activities and work closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Prepare detailed estimates and bid on projects
- Collaborate with the estimating department and other project teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Utilize tools like Precision Estimating, ProCore, JOIN, and Revit for 3D modeling
- Maintain strong relationships with the subcontractor community and leverage local LA market knowledge
