Construction Bookkeeper
Job Description
A leading general contractor specializing in affordable housing in San Diego, CA, is looking for a dedicated Construction Bookkeeper to join their team. In this role, you ll be an essential part of the finance department, managing key financial tasks like accounts payable/receivable and supporting the overall accounting efforts. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in construction bookkeeping or accounting, understands AIA requisitions (G703/G704) and is proficient in Procore construction software.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Construction Bookkeeper Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in construction bookkeeping/accounting
- Must understand AIA requisitions (G703/G704)
- Must be able to handle the management of payables
- Knowledge of Procore is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of different papers and documents
- Experience with Yardi software is a plus
Construction Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day invoicing and AP/AR tasks for construction projects
- Enter invoices into the Yardi software system on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Process check requests from vendors after approval from project managers
- Collaborate with project managers to review and approve subcontractor invoices and requisitions
- Assist with miscellaneous accounting duties and provide support in other areas as needed
