Job Description
A growing multi-family property developer in Dallas, TX has teamed up with Boutique Recruiting in search of a skilled Construction Accountant to join their team! You will be overseeing approximately 7-10 projects at a time, primarily within the multi-family construction sector. The company would like someone with 5+ years of construction accounting experience or 3+ years in multi-family construction accounting. Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial aspects of 7-10 construction projects simultaneously
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger entries
- Prepare and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist with the pay application process and job costing
- Collaborate with internal teams, administrators, and project managers
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of project-related financial transactions
- Contribute to month-end close activities
- Utilize accounting software systems such as Sage 300 and Procor
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all financial processes
- Work closely with external vendors and subcontractors
- Adhere to project budgets and financial guidelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction accounting
- 3+ years of experience in Multifamily construction accounting
- Proficiency in Excel, including working with formulas
- Strong understanding of job costing principles
- Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Familiarity with pay application processes
- Knowledge of Sage 300 and Procor is highly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
