Commercial Litigation Attorney

They are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience who are passionate about commercial litigation, have a strong desire to work on high-profile litigation, and are eager to lead cases as first chair. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, conducting depositions, leading mediations, and overseeing complex discovery processes. Pay Range: $150,000 - $180,000 DOE
- Manage a caseload of 10-15 cases, ensuring collaboration with 2-3 attorneys per case to strategize and execute legal actions
- Lead full litigation lifecycle, from case inception through to trial, including managing pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities
- Act as first chair in trials, demonstrating superior courtroom skills such as persuasive argumentation and effective witness examination
- Conduct depositions and lead complex discovery processes to secure essential evidence for case advancement
- Participate in mediations and negotiations, leveraging strong communication skills to achieve favorable dispute resolutions
- Handle high-profile litigation against leading attorneys, employing innovative strategies to navigate legal challenges
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in California
- 3-5 years of litigation experience
- Proven track record in depositions and complex discovery
- A highly motivated and proactive approach, with a dedication to excellence and a competitive edge suited for a dynamic team environment
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the capability to anticipate potential challenges and develop effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal arguments and effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and courts
- High level of organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in legal research and technology tools, including Lexus Nexus and West Law, to enhance case preparation and efficiency
- Commitment to ethical legal practice and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
