Commercial Litigation Attorney
Job Description
A growing legal services firm in Sacramento, California, is seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of litigation experience, specializing in complex commercial matters, including trial experience. This is a direct-hire position offering a competitive salary with significant earning potential, as well as a collaborative and supportive work environment. The firm values quality professionals who are self-starters, organized, and reliable, with a long-term commitment to the firm and its clients. The role requires an individual capable of handling high-net-worth cases and working closely with internal teams and clients to achieve successful outcomes.
Salary Range: $200,000-250,000 / year DOE
Litigation Attorney Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience with a focus on complex commercial matters
- Proven trial experience in commercial litigation
- Active California State Bar membership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word; familiarity with legal software a plus
- Self-motivated with a high level of organization and professionalism
- Ability to work onsite at the firm s Sacramento office (5 days a week, with possible flexibility after training)
- Must be committed to long-term career growth and a stable, collaborative work environment
- Experience in handling high-net-worth client cases and complex legal issues
- Previous experience with civil litigation, eminent domain, business entity formation, and real estate financing is a plus
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex commercial litigation cases, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses in both state and federal courts
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and development
- Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials, providing persuasive advocacy in court
- Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop comprehensive case strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and progress updates
- Manage a manageable caseload of high-value, multimillion-dollar cases, prioritizing quality over quantity
