Job Description
A premier company in the commercial construction industry is searching for a skilled Commercial Estimator to join their team in Canoga Park, CA! They are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in commercial estimating, ranging from tenant improvements to Class A commercial buildings. The company is family-owned and has a friendly, easy-going work culture and the position comes with a great benefits package, that includes a gas card for traveling to sites within the Los Angeles area.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $140,000 / year DOE
Commercial Estimator Requirements:
- 1-5+ years of experience in commercial estimating
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems
- Proficiency in Procore, Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Office Teams
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor s Degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Procore is preferred
Commercial Estimator Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed pre-bidding activities including reviewing RFPs, determining project scope and materials, and creating bid packages
- Engage in bidding processes through vendor proposal reviews, conducting takeoffs in Procore, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns
- Negotiate subcontractor pricing, ensuring competitive bids
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors for seamless project execution
- Manage pre-construction tasks such as reviewing vendor contracts and maintaining a cost database
