Job Description


A law firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team.  As a Commercial Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of varied complexity and handling cases from start to finish.  This includes writing and arguing motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, participating in mediations, and preparing for trial.  In this role, you will be working closely with multiple partners and a legal assistant to ensure that all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in any of the practice areas of commercial, real estate, construction, or employment law. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.  This is a hybrid position.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $125,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a case load from A to Z
  • Work with legal assistants
  • Write and argue motions, conduct discovery, depositions, mediations, and occasional accident site visits
  • Review medical documents and prepare for trial
  • Manage multiple partners and their preferences
  • Use systems such as West Law, iManage, and Aderant for time-keeping
  • Attend continuing education programs, attorney lunches, meetings, and participate in the mentorship program
  • Be driven, organized, outgoing, and build relationships with clients and colleagues

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of litigation experience in commercial, real estate, construction or employment law
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Barred in Florida
  • Top tier law schools is preferred
  • Defense experience is preferred
