A collision repair shop in Greencastle, PA is searching for a skilled General Service Technician to play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to meet their dealership and factory standards. This role involves performing comprehensive repairs across all areas. As a technician, you will work closely with the parts department, communicate with the service team, and uphold high-quality service standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy technician with a passion for automotive repair and customer satisfaction.
Salary Range: $25 / hour DOE
General Service Technician Requirements:
- Dependable, honest, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Valid driver s license and acceptable safe driving record
- Possession of a PA inspection license is preferred
General Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform repair work accurately and efficiently as outlined on repair orders, following dealership and factory standards
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and complete necessary repairs
- Communicate with the parts department to secure required parts for repair jobs
- Save and tag parts for warranty claims or customer requests
- Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and inform service dispatch as needed
- Document all completed work and recommended services on repair orders
- Conduct road tests to confirm repair quality
- Participate in manufacturer training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins
- Supervise apprentice technicians when assigned and provide guidance
