Class A Truck Driver
Job Description
A transportation logistics company in Clinton, PA is searching for a professional Class A Truck Driver to join their team! They are looking for candidates who are 22 years old or older with at least 2 years of experience, a Commercial Driver s License and preferably a Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to obtain) to operate daily routes originating from Pittsburgh International Airport. This is a full-time, 10 hr/day position that ensures you are home daily, with flexible start times between 7 and 9 am and the potential for overtime.
Salary Range: $20 - $23 / hour DOE
Class A Truck Driver Requirements:
- Must be at least 22 years of age
- 2 years of commercial driving experience is preferred
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver s License & Medical Card
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Must be comfortable using technology such as MDU systems for vehicle tracking
- Experience with ADP systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch and team members
- High level of reliability and punctuality with a focus on safety and time-sensitive deliveries
Class A Truck Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tractor-trailer and other trucks
- Perform 8-10 pickups and deliveries daily; some local, some up to 2 hours drive
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect truck before and after routes
