Job Description
A dynamic employment law firm specializing in wage and hour class actions is actively seeking a Civil Litigation Paralegal to join their team in San Diego, CA! Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Support 2-3 attorneys, providing comprehensive paralegal assistance
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50 cases
- Proactively handle calendaring, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Prepare, file, and manage all state and federal court filings with precision
- Maintain effective communication with court clerks and make necessary reservations for hearing dates
- Manage administrative tasks related to cases, including maintaining digital files and correspondence
- Calendar discovery responses and monitor upcoming court dates
Requirements:
- 2 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts
- Possession of a paralegal certificate
- Proficiency in Adobe Pro, including redacting, bookmarking, and stamping documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet fast-paced deadlines, and be self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Employment law experience (highly preferred)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (a plus)
- Proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas (a plus)
