A growing family law office in Cupertino, CA is searching for a tech-savvy Chief Operating Office (COO) to lead and manage the firm s operations from a remote position. This executive-level position is pivotal to the firm s ambitious plans for expansion. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a senior operations role within a law firm and a proven ability to drive significant revenue growth. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing key aspects of the firm s operations, from finance and HR to marketing and client relations, ensuring the firm scales effectively while maintaining its high standards. Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 / year DOE
COO Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior operations role within a law firm
- Strong experience in marketing, particularly in managing SEO and related activities
- Proven track record of successfully scaling a law firm s operations and revenue
- Extensive knowledge of human resources management, including recruitment and training
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, payroll, and trust accounting
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse team remotely
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- MBA degree is preferred
- Experience in a Family Law or Employment Law firm is preferred
- Experience with MyCase CRM and RingCentral communication tools is preferred
- Familiarity with California law and legal practices is preferred
COO Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the firm, including finance, HR, and facilities management
- Manage financial functions, including planning, forecasting, billing, collections, and payroll
- Lead the firm s marketing efforts, including managing SEO strategies and vendor relationships
- Supervise and mentor a team of direct reports, including the intake team, receptionist, and billing staff
- Develop and implement strategies to scale the firm s operations and revenue
- Ensure smooth operations for remote employees, including equipment and supply management
- Handle complex client relationships and enhance client satisfaction through efficient processes
- Contribute to strategic planning and risk management initiatives
