Job Description


A well-established manufacturing company in central Texas is searching for an ambitious and analytical Business Development Manager to join their team in a remote position! With a focus on Texas and neighboring states (TX, NM, OK, AR, LA), this role offers the opportunity to help expand the company's footprint by finding new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and identifying new market trends to outpace competitors. This position has heavy travel requirements, so they are ideally looking for someone based in the assigned region with at least 2 years of sales experience who is hungry, proactive and can think outside the box. Pay Range: $65, 000 - $69, 000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business in TX, NM, OK, AR, LA, focusing on Texas
  • Strengthen existing client relationships and seek additional business
  • Use sales techniques (face-to-face, phone, digital) to engage prospects
  • Travel 40-50% within the territory, including possible overnight stays
  • Analyze market trends for strategic sales opportunities
  • Manage house accounts to increase revenue
  • Collaborate with the sales director and team to meet sales goals
  • Utilize CRM/ERP for sales tracking and customer management
  • Keep up-to-date with company products and services
  • Attend sales meetings, development sessions, and industry events

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of sales experience, inside or outside sales backgrounds
  • 1+ year of experience in the garage door industry or related technical sales field
  • Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not mandatory
  • Must be able to travel within the assigned territory 40-50% of the time, with potential overnights
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to territory management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
  • Proactive, analytical thinker with a problem-solving attitude
  • Open to learning and eager for professional growth within the company
