Job Description
A specialized P&C insurance broker in Torrance, CA, is on the lookout for an ambitious Benefits Account Manager to join their team! If you have a background in benefits account management, health and life insurance licensing, and are bilingual in Spanish, this might be the perfect fit for you. You'll be managing client relationships and handling day-to-day employee/client resolutions. The company offers a welcoming, family-like atmosphere with excellent growth opportunities and values work-life balance. You'll start fully onsite and transition to a hybrid schedule after training and the role also involves occasional travel to client offices, primarily within Torrance and Orange County, for open enrollment meetings and client visits.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $88,000 / year DOE
Benefits Account Manager Requirements:
- 1-5 years of benefits experience as an Account Manager
- Life and Health License is required
- Bilingual in Spanish is required
- Knowledge of enrollment portals (Ease, Employee Navigator, WorkForce Now, etc.)
- Must be willing to travel to client offices to conduct open enrollment meetings
- Driver s License and Car Insurance required
- BA Degree is preferred
Benefits Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day employee/client resolution, including handling client questions, issues, billings, and claims
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships, support client retention, and understand client needs
- Develop a strong understanding of health benefit products, services, tools, and markets
- Maintain client records in a shared drive and TAM/EPIC Applied Systems
- Facilitate and participate in the preparation and presentation of open enrollment meetings and materials
- Travel to clients for open enrollment meetings as needed (1-2 times a month, mainly in Torrance and Orange County)
- Knowledge of compliance requirements such as 5500, Cobra, and annual notices
- Create employee benefit booklets and other communication materials
- Respond to all phone calls and inquiries within 24 hours
