Job Description


A modern accounting firm in Hunt Valley, MD is searching for an Audit Manager to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience, a CPA license and the ability to lead and mentor a team to manage a variety of audit types including nonprofits, franchises, schools, unions, construction, distribution, real estate and more. Pay Range: $100, 000 - $150, 000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a variety of audit types mostly in nonprofits, franchises, schools, unions, construction, distribution and real estate
  • Lead 15-20 audit engagements annually, focusing on financial statement audits
  • Train and oversee audit staff, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Work collaboratively in a team to complete audits, with the ability to complete some parts independently
  • Review audit work and occasionally complete audit segments
  • Maintain client relationships, attending board meetings and delivering reports
  • Manage local travel to client sites for audit engagements 30% of the time

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of audit experience with small to mid-size firm experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of public accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • CPA certification is required
  • Proven experience with financial statement audits
  • Strong leadership skills and experience with direct reports
  • Excellent client interaction skills, comfortable in board meetings
  • Reliable transportation for on-site client visits
