Job Description
A prestigious law firm that specializes in construction litigation and business disputes in Los Angeles, CA is searching for an experienced Attorney to join their team! This is a 2-3 days work-from-home hybrid position that involves a significant amount of case handling, from initial assessment and pleadings through the completion trials, covering large and complex commercial disputes and construction contract issues. They are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of experience in litigation who can handle a caseload of varying sizes and complexities. The firm offers a friendly work environment with an open-door policy and the potential to earn partnership in the future!
Salary Range: $170,000 - $210,000 / year DOE + bonus potential
Attorney Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California
- 8-10 years of experience in litigation, experience in business and construction litigation is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload of varying sizes and complexities
- Proven track record in contract litigation and client representation
- Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute litigation processes including discovery, motions, mediation, trial preparation, and arbitration
- Represent clients in disputes and negotiate settlements effectively
- Act as first or second chair in trials, depending on experience
- Develop strategies and solutions for complex legal issues
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations
