Associate Employment Attorney
Job Description
An established employment law firm in El Segundo, CA is seeking TWO Associate Employment Attorneys to join their growing team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in employment law, particularly in wage and hour class action cases. This role involves working closely with a team of attorneys and paralegals to provide high-quality legal services to clients. The firm values quality over quantity, ensuring a manageable workload and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $200,000 / year DOE
Associate Attorney Requirements:
- 2-7 years of employment law experience
- Experience in wage and hour and class action cases strongly preferred
- Barred in California; must be in good standing
- Experience in plaintiff or defense work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, motivated, and interested in being a good lawyer
- Office is located in El Segundo; must come in office 5x a week
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of employment law cases, primarily wage and hour class actions
- Draft complaints, statements, and other legal documents
- Prepare for and participate in mediations and depositions
- Work with witnesses and conduct discovery
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals
- Provide high-quality legal services and maintain a focus on detail and accuracy
- Participate in arbitration and other project-based work
