A leading construction management firm based in California is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support commercial construction projects, focusing on interior tenant improvements and exterior facade enhancements. This role involves managing daily on-site operations, collaborating with subcontractors and clients, and ensuring projects are executed according to plans and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a stable and quality-driven organization while contributing to impactful projects across the region.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 / year DOE
Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial tenant improvement projects from start to finish
- Ensure high-quality standards and adherence to project specifications
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and architects effectively
- Oversee job sites daily, monitoring project progress and resolving issues
- Review and interpret construction plans, ensuring proper sequencing of tasks
- Maintain organized project documentation and track progress from bid to closeout
Assistant Superintendent Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial construction experience
- Expertise in interior tenant improvement projects and sequencing workflows
- Familiarity with reading construction plans and blueprints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general tech-savviness
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities
- Local to the area with the ability to commute to job sites
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
