A leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor based in Houston, TX, is seeking an exceptionally driven Assistant Project Manager to lead their team in successfully delivering assigned projects. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in managing resources, schedules, and financials while adhering to quality and control guidelines throughout the project life cycle. Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing project plans and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation of construction documents
- Collaborate with project management to plan work schedules and anticipate resource needs
- Monitor project personnel activities, ensuring progress aligns with schedules and budgets
- Process administrative tasks, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and procurement documentation
- Oversee and update project documentation, including as-built documents and field change requests
- Participate in project meetings, offering proactive solutions to challenges and ensuring stakeholder alignment
Assistant Project Manager Requirements:
- Degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in relevant trades or management of projects of high value preferred
- Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, Procore, and MS Project
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and contribute to the company s growth
- Ability to pass background checks and meet site-specific access requirements
