A leading hospitality company in Bloomington, Minnesota, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant General Manager to join its team. This on-site role offers the opportunity to oversee day-to-day hotel operations, motivate team members, and uphold a high standard of guest satisfaction. As a key leader, the Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager while ensuring the hotel exceeds expectations for service, culture, and performance. Salary Range: $55,000 65,000 / year DOE
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager with all hotel operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, guest services, and food and beverage
- Act as a cultural leader by motivating and training team members to align with the hotel's customer service standards
- Oversee Guest Services Manager and Executive Housekeeper to ensure smooth daily operations and thorough housekeeping inspections
- Monitor hotel performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement to maintain or exceed guest satisfaction scores
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing staff members to foster a positive, service-oriented team environment
- Manage the hotel s one meeting room and oversee small banquet operations
- Ensure compliance with brand initiatives and operational standards
- Address guest concerns promptly to uphold a reputation for excellent customer service
- Support breakfast service operations and assist other departments as needed in a hands-on capacity
Assistant General Manager Requirements:
- 1 2+ years of hotel experience in roles such as Guest Services Manager or similar
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work Friday Tuesday, with a mix of morning and mid-shift schedules (weekend availability required)
- Enthusiastic, friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Dependability and the ability to earn and maintain trust through consistent follow-through
- Preferred: Experience with Toast POS and FOSSI (Marriott Select Service property management system)
